But in writing this letter, Addison and Emily are able to send Goose the tribute she deserves, and reflect on the life lessons she gave... while finding a little bit of closure along the way.

The day after July 4th is usually chaotic for animal shelters and humane societies across the country. Think about it: with the fireworks, backyard BBQs, and general shenanigans that go along with a national holiday, there's plenty of opportunity for dogs to get in harm's way – and motivation for them to escape too.
